Zero entry cost, free-to-use. Turn your phone into a performance/lifestyle tracking device, and afterwards, receive analytics based on activity data. Set goals, share your results with friends and form communities based on individual preferences.

#### **Energy System** <a href="#energy-system" id="energy-system"></a>

Energy is needed to earn BYL and is depleted while walking. Once energy is completely depleted, users stop earning BYL points. Users get a full energy top-up automatically every 24 hours at 00:00 UTC.

#### Earnings Mechanism <a href="#earnings-mechanism" id="earnings-mechanism"></a>

A player's BYL earnings are affected by the following factors:

1. Avatar Level
2. GPS signal - players earn less if GPS signal is weak (for e.g. if walking/running through dead zones)
3. Mobile data signal strength - players earn less if mobile data strength is weak
4. Moving speed - users do not earn above an undisclosed speed limit
5. Randomization

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://booost-1.gitbook.io/booost-whitepaper/walk-mode.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
